Equipment: Orion SkyQuest XT8g GoTo Dobsonian Telescope; 12.5mm eyepiece

In previous two observations, I mainly concentrated on open clusters and double stars. So this time, my objective was globular clusters. But I also observed a few OCs and nebulae.

Globular Clusters:

  • NGC 5139 (Omega Centauri)
  • NGC 5286/Caldwell 84
  • M4
  • M80
  • M10
  • M19
  • M62
  • M9
  • NGC 6356
  • M107
  • M12
  • M14
  • M22
  • M24

Open Clusters:

  • NGC 4755 (The Jewel Box)
  • NGC 5460
  • M7 (Ptolemy Cluster)
  • M6 (Butterfly cluster)
  • NGC 6383
  • NGC 6416

Nebula:

  • M17 (Omega/Swan Nebula) - very evident in the scope
  • M8 (Lagoon Nebula) - not as evident as M17 but still could make out

I also spent some time on observing the Terminator on the Moon. Had to wind up at 12am due to mosquito bites.
