Astronomy Visual Observation Report - 24 Jan 2021

This is the report of the Visual Observation through my new Telescope.

Location: Bengaluru, India 
Equipment: Orion SkyQuest XT8g GoTo Dobsonian Telescope 

The Moon was overhead so its light affected the observation.

  • Uranus - The first time I observed Uranus. Mars and Uranus were visible in the same Field of View (FOV) 
Andromeda 
  • NGC 752 aka Caldwell 28 - Open Cluster 
Perseus 
  • M34 aka NGC 1039 - Open Cluster 
  • NGC 869 and NGC 884 aka Double Cluster - Open Cluster 
Cassiopeia 
  • M 103 aka NGC 581 - Open Cluster (not much details) 
Taurus 
  • M 45 - Open Cluster 
Auriga 
  • M 36 aka NGC 1960 - Open Cluster 
  • M 37 aka NGC 2099 - Open Cluster 
  • M 38 aka NGC 1912 aka Starfish Cluster - Open Cluster 
  • NGC 2281 - Open Cluster 
Gemini

Carina 
  • NGC 2516 aka Caldwell 96 aka Southern Beehive - Open Cluster (Looks beautiful) 
Orion 
  • M 42 aka Orion Nebula - Diffuse Nebula 
  • NGC 1981 - Open Cluster
